Chateau Clerc-Milon (克拉米伦庄园)
CINGUIEMES CRU CLASSÉ, PAUILLAC
BORDEAUX, FRANCE.
A Classified Growth, Château Clerc Milon now has 41 hectares (101 acres) of vineyard in the north-east of the Pauillac appellation. Close to the Gironde estuary, its soil is made up of deep sandy gravel over a clay-limestone base which outcrops in the eastern part of the estate.
Adjacent to two First Growths, the vineyard is planted with five varieties typical of the region: Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (37%), Cabernet Franc (10%), Petit Verdot (2%) and Carmenère (1%). The vines, with an average age of 53 years, are planted at a density of 8,500 to 10,000 per hectare, depending on the parcel. The grapes are hand-picked and fed into the vats by gravity in order to preserve their integrity, and half of the wine is matured in new oak barrels.
